Aolani Cloud in Malaysia is seeking an Infrastructure Support Technician to join our data center team. You will execute installation, decommissioning, relocation of servers and network devices, and perform hands-on troubleshooting.
Responsibilities include structured cabling, incident and change management, facility monitoring, inventory, and security/compliance. Experience with Jira/ServiceNow and DCIM tools is preferred; Mandarin is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Support & Maintenance: Execute the installation, decommissioning, and relocation of servers, network devices, and
storage arrays. Perform hands-on troubleshooting and component replacement (e.g., DIMMs, HDDs, PSUs).
Structured Cabling: Manage and implement all physical network cabling, including copper and fiber optic installations, ensuring
adherence to industry best practices and internal standards for optimal performance and airflow.
Incident Management: Act as a first responder to hardware and facility-related incidents. Manage and process all assigned tasks
through our ticketing system. Efficiently manage the incident lifecycle from detection and recording to resolution and root cause
analysis, following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Change Management: Execute planned change tasks and maintenance activities with precision and minimal service impact, following
detailed change plans and documenting all steps and outcomes.
Facility Monitoring: Conduct regular, thorough inspections of the data center environment, monitoring power, cooling, and
environmental systems. Proactively identify and report any anomalies or potential risks to facility integrity.
Inventory & Asset Management: Meticulously track all data center assets, including servers, components, and consumables, from
receipt to disposal. Ensure the accuracy of the inventory management system.
Operational Excellence: Contribute to the continuous improvement of data center operations by gathering data on space, power, and
cooling utilization. Suggest and help implement optimization strategies.
Security & Compliance: Enforce strict physical security protocols by managing personnel access and overseeing on-site vendors and
contractors to ensure compliance with safety and security regulations.
Knowledge Sharing: Document and share operational knowledge and on-site experience to contribute to the team's knowledge base.
Qualifications and Skills
Required
Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Demonstrable understanding of computer and server hardware components.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work logically and methodically under pressure.
Excellent team player with strong communication skills and a customer-centric mindset.
Willingness and ability to work in a 24/7 rotational shift environment and lift up to 20 kgs.
Preferred
1-3 years of experience in a data center or critical facility environment.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Server+, or Network+, CCNA.
Experience working with IT service management ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
Familiarity with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools.
Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs) and Linux/Windows Server operating systems.
Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) is highly preferred to effectively communicate with key stakeholders and vendors in various regions,
