Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in server or storage maintenance, preferably data center.
• Basic Chinese and English communication skills for liaising with associates.

Responsibilities

• Understand IDC infrastructure including power, cooling, temperature and humidity.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and replace servers and network equipment; assist with fiber and cable work as directed.
• Possess foundational Linux knowledge; configure common services and system files.
• Comply with SOPs and work procedures; communicate effectively with clients on-site.
• Proactively identify issues and handle high-stress emergency situations gracefully.

Responsibilities:

Understanding IDC Infrastructure:
Demonstrate clear comprehension of IDC infrastructure, including power environment variables such as air conditioning, power supply, temperature, and humidity.
Proficient in interpreting and analyzing equipment data to identify potential issues.
Coordinate with operations engineers to effectively track and manage on‑site issues.

Server and Network Equipment Management:
Proficient in troubleshooting, maintaining, and replacing servers (e.g., DELL, HP, IBM) and network equipment.
Ability to complete on‑site fiber optic and cable connections related to network equipment, under the guidance of network engineers.

Linux Operating System Proficiency:
Possess a foundational understanding of the Linux operating system.
Capable of configuring and modifying common services and system settings, including Linux system configuration files, file scanning, system routes, gateways, SSH services, and server remote control out‑of‑band management.

Adherence to SOPs:
Strict adherence to client‑specified Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for duty and operations.

Coordination and Communication:
Excellent coordination and communication skills to interact effectively with clients for on‑site IDC management and during emergency events.

Proactive Problem Identification:
Proactively identify and address potential problems.
Demonstrated ability to handle high‑stress situations effectively.
This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strong communication skills, adherence to operational procedures, and the ability to remain proactive and resilient in dynamic environments.

Requirements:

Educational Background: Diploma or above in Computer Science/Telecommunication/Engineering or a related subject.

Experience: More than one year of experience in server or storage maintenance, preferably with experience in data center or internet data center environments and basic knowledge in Data Centre domain.

Language Skills: Basic communication, reading, and writing skills in both Chinese and English as to liaise with Chinese associate.

Work Conditions: Ability to adapt to a 24/7 shift system.
