Job summary

Humana International Group is seeking an experienced IT Network Lead to support a major Data Center Project in Asia, based in Rawang, Selangor. You will lead planning, integration, testing, commissioning, and handover of network infrastructure, coordinating with clients, consultants, vendors, and contractors to ensure delivery of secure, high-availability systems.

The role demands strong leadership, 15+ years in IT/network, and expertise in data center networks, with CCNP/CCIE credentials

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in IT/network infrastructure, data centers, or large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise and data center network infrastructure.
• Experience in network planning, implementation, integration, testing, and commissioning.
• Strong understanding of network security, resilience, redundancy, and high-availability requirements.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, integration, testing, commissioning, and handover of network infrastructure systems.
• Coordinate with client teams, consultants, vendors, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Review network architecture, technical designs, specifications, drawings, and method statements.
• Oversee network infrastructure implementation and ensure works meet approved designs and project requirements.
• Ensure network systems meet operational, security, reliability, availability, and performance standards.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities, including system integration and functional testing.
• Identify technical issues and drive timely resolution.
• Monitor installation progress against project schedules.
• Provide technical leadership to engineers, subcontractors, and installation teams.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Network Lead to join their team supporting a major Data Center Project in Asia. The successful candidate will take a leadership role in the planning, integration, testing, commissioning, and handover of network infrastructure. The role will work closely with clients, consultants, vendors, contractors, and internal project teams to ensure network systems are delivered safely, securely, and in accordance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, integration, testing, commissioning, and handover of network infrastructure systems.
• Coordinate with client teams, consultants, vendors, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Review network architecture, technical designs, specifications, drawings, and method statements.
• Oversee network infrastructure implementation and ensure works comply with approved designs and project requirements.
• Ensure network systems meet required operational, security, reliability, availability, and performance standards.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities, including system integration and functional testing.
• Identify technical issues, coordinate troubleshooting, and drive timely resolution.
• Monitor installation and implementation progress against project schedules.
• Support project documentation, testing records, commissioning reports, and final handover documentation.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers, subcontractors, and installation teams.
• Ensure all network works comply with applicable data center standards, project specifications, health and safety requirements, and quality procedures.
• Participate in technical meetings, progress meetings, inspections, and commissioning reviews.
• Support successful project completion and transition of network systems into operational use.

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in IT/network infrastructure, data centers, telecommunications, or large-scale mission-critical projects.
• Proven experience in a Network Lead / Network Manager / Senior Network Engineer capacity.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise and data center network infrastructure.
• Experience in network planning, implementation, integration, testing, and commissioning.
• Strong understanding of network security, resilience, redundancy, and high-availability requirements.
• Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, vendors, and MEP/ELV contractors.
• Ability to review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, designs, and network documentation.
• Strong project coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience working on large-scale data center or mission-critical infrastructure projects will be highly advantageous.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent would be an advantage.
