Job summary

Hireon is seeking a high-level IT Manager (Contract for Services) to oversee the company’s IT infrastructure, cloud systems, and data center operations. RANGE SALARY: RM7,000.00 – RM15,000.00 (Monthly payroll frequency)

Operation Hours: 24 HRS/7 DAYS

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Designation Level: Manager Level (Senior Executive 1 and above classification structure).

Service Details:

Job Position(s) to be Filled: IT Manager (Contract for Services) — Offered on a 6-month contract basis. Work performance and appraisal will be reviewed during the contract period to confirm employment or extend the contract.

Job Scope:

• Plan, deploy, and maintain company-wide IT infrastructure, cloud systems, network operations, and data center performance to support organizational goals.
• Enforce enterprise data security, disaster recovery, backup protocols, and strict regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001) across all hardware and software systems.
• Manage IT budgets, hardware/software procurement, vendor contracts/SLAs, and direct the daily operations and career growth of the IT support team.

Job Description (Daily/Weekly Work Tasks & Duties):

• Review daily IT system logs, network performance, server uptime, and automated backup reports to ensure seamless operational stability.
• Monitor security alerts, firewalls, and endpoint protection systems; respond immediately to potential cyber threats, patch vulnerabilities, or system outages.
• Review high-priority IT service desk tickets, assist support staff with complex technical escalations, and track resolution metrics against SLAs.
• Coordinate with external technology vendors, review hardware/software license utilization, and oversee equipment provisioning for onboarding employees.
• Lead daily briefing meetings with the IT department to assign project milestones, track infrastructure upgrades, and align priorities with business leaders.

Qualification Requirements: Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.

Other Requirements:

• Minimum of 8–10 years of working experience in a Manager position or in the manufacturing industry.
• Good health condition.
• Able to lead a big team and handle heavy operations.
• Able to speak, write, and read in Chinese is an added advantage.
