Job summary

ELS Language Centres Malaysia is seeking an IT Technician cum Language Technology Centre (LTC) Assistant. The role reports to the Head of IT and Academic Director and covers general IT maintenance across centres and HQ, resolving technical issues and ensuring policies are followed.

Main duties include checking admin PCs, printers and internet; testing placement test PCs, LiveSpeak equipment, CCTV, phones and SunagoLearn; updating an IT issues log; assisting staff and students; and supporting LTC

Responsibilities

• Check admin PCs, printers and internet are working.
• Turn on and login to Placement Test PCs and ensure functioning (internet, headset).
• Test and ensure PC/TV/SmartBoard in classrooms work (internet, sound).
• Test LiveSpeak rooms: TVs, Webcam, Mic/Speakerphone, internet, Zoom updated.
• Test admin/student WiFi access points; ensure CCTV cameras viewable and recording.
• Assist staff, teachers and students with IT issues and SunagoLearn platform.
• Record IT problems in Google Sheets and share with centre manager.
• Power off devices at end of day; rearrange LTC/LiveSpeak rooms and classrooms.
• Assist in basic maintenance tasks (bulbs, sockets).
• LTC Assistant duties: familiarize with LTC materials and policies; assist in organizing student activities and graduation.
