Job summary

EP Engineering in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a geoscience professional to support exploration activities. You will organize seismic and well data and assist senior geologists and geophysicists in data handling and interpretation.

You will engage in seismic interpretation, velocity modelling, rock physics analysis, and prospect evaluation to identify drilling opportunities in collaboration with geology and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Support Sr. Executive Geologist and Geophysicist to establish efficient exploration database by arranging and managing well and seismic data, aligning with IT and Data Management Sr. Executive.
• Take major role in geophysical data interpretation of Block SB306A/B, SK418 and SK510, i.e, seismic structural interpretation, velocity modelling, seismic attribute analysis, prospect/lead extraction to exploit exploration potential of the Blocks.
• Conduct Quantitative seismic interpretation, e.g., rockphysics modelling, seismic inversion, and seismic reservoir mapping, in line with geology team and third-party experts, to assess reservoir and fluid property, exploiting target reservoir's rock physics properties.
• Work with the geology and operation team to propose drilling prospects and prepare summarize exploration drilling proposal, including appropriate exploration risk analysis.
• Support in geophysical data acquisition planning and operation for seismic survey, site survey, and well data acquisition (VSP, Sonic).
• Support G&G evaluation for new venture opportunity.
