Job summary

EP Engineering in Malaysia seeks a Geophysics Specialist to support asset management and exploration. You will arrange seismic data, perform structural interpretation, velocity modelling, and seismic attribute analysis to unlock exploration potential.

You will supervise third-party surveys, aid drilling proposals, and train OJT trainees in geophysical workflows. Strong collaboration with geology and operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in geophysics and seismic interpretation.
• Ability to coordinate data handling with IT/Data teams.
• Experience working on exploration blocks in a PSC environment.

Responsibilities

• Support asset manager to establish efficient exploration database.
• Lead seismic structural interpretation and velocity modelling.
• Conduct quantitative seismic interpretation and reservoir mapping.
• Manage QC and supervision of third-party geochemical surveys.
• Assist in proposing drilling prospects and exploration risk analysis.
• Support geophysical data acquisition planning for surveys and wells.
• Collaborate with geology, operations and PSCs; train OJT trainees.
