Job summary

Sunway Fintech is seeking a proactive Project/Strategy Analyst to drive cross-functional initiatives aligned with the group’s strategic priorities. You will shape plans, timelines, and resources, and translate market insights into actionable business improvements.

You’ll collaborate with business units, leadership, and partners to define requirements, document BRD/FSD, and monitor outcomes through data-driven analysis and systematic UAT testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university; Master’s degree optional.
• 2–4 years of related experience in PM, strategy analyst or business planning roles.
• Experience writing BRD/FSD and designing diagrams/workflows (draw.io/Visio).
• Strong quantitative reasoning to analyze and solve problems.
• Ability to manage an independent workstream within a larger team.
• Ability to read and understand API documentation (advantage).

Job Description:

• Lead and manage cross-functional projects aligned with Sunway Fintech's corporate objectives and strategic priorities.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocations, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and smooth execution.
• Conduct in-depth market research and data analysis where necessary by utilizing all available data sets and open-source intelligence, interpret results to identify effective ways of boosting business efficiency and help business makes informed decisions.
• Identify and manage project dependencies, interdependencies, and critical path activities.
• Analyse and evaluate business processes, identify key business problems and opportunities, predict requirements, and develop solutions to address them.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including business units, senior leadership, and external partners to define project requirements and success criteria.
• Document and maintain detailed and effective requirements to align stakeholders cross-functionally.
• Identify patterns and trends drawn from the data to provide insights and use this information to make recommendations to the organization's leadership team.
• Identify and implement potential solutions for challenges faced by the business and make lasting improvements to business performance.
• Prepare and execute effective test cases to verify correctness of implementation while managing and prioritizing gaps found during UAT.
• Support inquiries from stakeholders to manage incidents found and to find potential areas of enhancements.
• Undertakes ad-hoc projects and initiatives to create value.
• Any other duties assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in any field from reputable university, a Master’s Degree will be an added advantage;
• Minimum of 2 - 4 years of related working experience, ideally in project management, strategy analyst, or business strategy and planning role;
• Experience in writing BRD/FSD and designing diagrams/workflows (draw.io / visio);
• Capable of analyzing and solving problems through quantitative reasoning and analysis;
• Skilled at managing an independent workstream within the framework of a larger team-based project;
• Capacity to read and understand API documentations is an added advantage.
