Job summary

Ambition Recruitment seeks a Chief Financial Officer for a technology SME in Malaysia. The CFO will own the transformation mandate and oversee the IPO process with the Board, PE, and advisers. A Bursa Malaysia listing is targeted within 24-36 months.

The role requires deep technical finance, governance at public-company/MFRS standards, and sharp strategic finance acumen. Strong leadership and IPO experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification and membership.
• Extensive finance leadership experience.
• IPO experience in public markets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end IPO workplan including timeline, adviser management and prospectus prep.
• Professionalise financial reporting, controls, and governance to public-company/MFRS standards.
• Develop equity story, financial narrative and profit forecasts with advisers and the Board.
• Manage capital structure, treasury, banking relationships, tax structuring, and use-of-proceeds planning.
• Build finance team and Investor Relations to public-company standard.

Education

CA/ICAEW/ACCA/CPA Australia or equivalent

MIA membership

CFA or MBA (advantage)
