Job summary

FORTUNTECH MT TECHNOLOGY SDN BHD is seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the company’s financial strategy, fundraising and IPO readiness. This is a strategic, hands-on role reporting to the Group CEO/Board with responsibility for capital structure, governance and public‑company readiness.

The ideal candidate has proven IPO experience, equity/debt fundraising, and a track record with Bursa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA/CPA/ICAEW/CIMA.
• MIA membership or eligibility preferred.
• 10–15+ years of progressive finance and corporate finance experience.
• 3–5 years in senior finance leadership roles (CFO/Finance Director) in a public-listed company.
• Proven IPO experience and fundraising experience.

Position Overview

Employment Type: Full-Time

Basic Salary: RM30,000 – RM40,000 per month (Final salary offered based on experience)

Reporting To: Group CEO / Board of Directors

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the Company's financial strategy, corporate finance, fundraising and IPO readiness.

The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in strengthening our financial platform, optimizing capital structure, leading fundraising initiatives and preparing the Company for a potential IPO / Bursa Malaysia listing.

This is a strategic and hands‑on CFO role. The ideal candidate must have proven experience in IPO execution and capital raising, with the ability to work directly with the Board, investment banks, investors, financial institutions and professional advisers.

1. IPO & Capital Markets

Lead the Company's IPO readiness and listing preparation.

Manage the end-to-end IPO financial workstream from pre-IPO preparation through listing.

Coordinate with investment banks, principal advisers, auditors, lawyers, tax advisers and other professional advisers.

Lead financial due diligence, corporate restructuring, valuation, financial modelling and IPO documentation.

Support prospectus preparation and ensure readiness for Bursa Malaysia and relevant regulatory requirements.

Establish public‑company‑level financial reporting, governance and internal control standards.

Lead equity and debt fundraising activities.

Develop and execute the Company's capital raising strategy.

Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, PE/VC funds, institutional investors and strategic investors.

Evaluate and negotiate financing structures, credit facilities and investment proposals.

Optimize the Company's capital structure and cost of capital.

Lead M&A, strategic investments and other corporate finance transactions where applicable.

3. Financial Strategy

Develop the Company's long‑term financial strategy and capital allocation framework.

Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and scenario analysis.

Drive cash‑flow optimization, profitability and working‑capital management.

Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO and Board on investments, expansion and business decisions.

4. Governance & Reporting

Oversee the Company's financial reporting and ensure compliance with MFRS / IFRS.

Strengthen financial controls, risk management and governance frameworks.

Ensure the Company is prepared for public‑company reporting requirements.

Work closely with the Board and Audit Committee on financial and corporate matters.

5. Investor Relations

Develop the Group's financial narrative and equity story.

Support investor presentations, fundraising roadshows and investor communications.

Build strong relationships with investors, analysts, banks and other capital‑market stakeholders.

6. Finance Leadership

Build and lead a high‑performing finance team.

Oversee Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax and Corporate Finance functions.

Implement scalable financial systems, processes and controls to support the Company's growth and future listing.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline.

Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA, MICPA or equivalent.

MIA membership or eligibility for MIA membership is highly preferred.

10–15+ years of progressive finance and corporate finance experience.

Minimum 3–5 years in a senior finance leadership role, such as CFO, Finance Director, Financial Controller, or equivalent in a public-listed company.

Proven hands‑on IPO experience is mandatory, preferably involving a Bursa Malaysia listing (ideally having participated in and completed the entire IPO listing process).

Demonstrated experience in fundraising / capital raising, including successful bank financing, equity / debt financing, private placement, or capital market fundraising.

Strong familiarity and understanding of Bursa Malaysia, Securities Commission, MFRS / IFRS, and listed company governance requirements.

Strong experience working with investment banks, investors, banks and professional advisers.

Experience in financial due diligence, valuation, restructuring, M&A and capital structuring is highly preferred.

Strong Board‑level communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills. Commercially minded and strategic.

Excellent command of English; Chinese language and/or Bahasa Malaysia would be an advantage.

Candidates without direct IPO and fundraising experience will not be considered.
