  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in project implementation and maintenance operations.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing an IoT technical team.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Experience in the car park, building automation, CCTV, IT, or related industries is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Job description

The IoT Technical & Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing the technical operations related to Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for the car park systems and others products within the organization. The role oversees technical customer support, project implementation, product development, and technical sales to ensure efficient delivery of IoT systems and services. The position also manages technical personnel, procurement of IoT equipment, and inventory control to support project execution and operational efficiency while maintaining high customer satisfaction and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Operations & Customer Support
  • Oversee technical support services for IoT systems, devices, platforms, and network integration.
  • Ensure timely troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues reported by customers.
  • Establish technical support procedures, documentation, and service standards.
  • Monitor system performance and reliability to ensure service continuity.
2. Project Management
  • Plan, manage, and oversee the implementation of IoT projects from initiation to completion.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and according to technical specifications.
  • Coordinate project resources including internal teams, vendors, and external contractors.
  • Conduct project reviews, system testing, commissioning, and customer handover.
  • Support the development and enhancement of IoT products and system solutions.
  • Collaborate with supplier or partners and product development teams to improve system capabilities.
  • Conduct testing, evaluation, and validation of new technologies and product upgrades.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in IoT services and solutions.
4. Technical Sales
  • Provide technical consultation and solution design support to the sales team.
  • Participate in customer engagements, technical presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Drive the growth of technical services, maintenance contracts, and parts sales, while achieving the assigned annual technical sales targets.
  • Assist in preparing technical proposals, solution architecture, and tender submissions.
  • Support business development initiatives with technical expertise.
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor IoT engineers and technical personnel.
  • Allocate tasks and manage team workload to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Provide training and professional development to technical staff.
  • Conduct staff performance evaluation and support recruitment where necessary.
  • Manage procurement of IoT devices, components, and technical equipment.
  • Evaluate vendors and suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
  • Work closely with procurement and Accounts departments for purchasing processes.
7. Inventory & Asset Management
  • Maintain inventory of IoT devices, spare parts, and technical equipment.
  • Ensure sufficient stock availability for project implementation and maintenance activities.
  • Implement asset tracking and periodic inventory audits.
Job Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record in project implementation and maintenance operations.

Proven experience in leading and managing an IoT technical team.

Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines effectively.

Highly committed, proactive, and self-motivated, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Strong leadership, planning, organisational, and project management capabilities.

A good team player who is also capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Experience in the car park, building automation, CCTV, IT, or related technology industries will be an added advantage, particularly with exposure to relevant products, systems, and operations.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
