Job summary

GST Fine Foods Sdn. Bhd is hiring an Inventory Clerk to manage receiving, storage, and stock integrity at our Penang warehouse. You will perform data entry, inventory checks, and coordinate with shipping and sales teams to ensure accurate stock records and timely replenishment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, reporting, and loss prevention within a fast-paced food industry environment, with exposure to ERP or MS Excel tools and standard warehouse procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Inventory Clerk is preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Excel or similar inventory software.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect shipments, document discrepancies, and store items in designated locations.
• Record stock movements and update inventory systems.
• Conduct cycle counts and resolve stock discrepancies.
• Monitor reorder thresholds and coordinate with vendors for replenishment.
• Support loss prevention programs and report variances.

Job description

Receiving and Storing: Unload incoming shipments, inspect goods for damage or defects, cross-check items against purchase orders, and store products in designated warehouse or shelf locations.

Inventory Tracking & Data Entry: Record stock movements, update inventory management software (such as WMS, SAP, Oracle, or Excel), and tag items with price or location data.

Auditing & Reconciliation: Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits; research and resolve stock discrepancies or missing items.

Ordering & Replenishment: Monitor reorder thresholds, flag low-stock items, and place or coordinate purchase orders with vendors and suppliers.

Quality & Loss Prevention: Identify slow-moving, damaged, or obsolete inventory for disposal or clearance, and support loss prevention programs.

Reporting & Collaboration: Generate stock, variance, and ordering reports for management, and coordinate with shipping, receiving, and sales teams.
