Masimo Corporation is seeking an Inventory Analyst to maintain accurate inventory levels and conduct ongoing cycle counts in all functional areas, including raw materials and finished goods. Qualifications

  • Familiarity with standard inventory controls and practices.
  • Strong mathematical ability and ability to interpret data.
  • Ability to read and follow company quality policy.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cycle count activities across all functional areas and audit counts as needed.
  • Coordinate daily with warehouse supervisor to review variances.
  • Reconcile counts, perform root cause analysis, track errors, and report outcomes.
  • Maintain FIFO inventory rotation for finished goods and raw materials.
  • Report cycle count data to management and determine accuracy metrics.
  • Interact with functional area management to align on inventory goals.
  • Review ABC classifications annually based on component criticality.
  • Maintain files, spreadsheets, and systems related to cycle counts and inventory.
  • Troubleshoot areas where counts cannot be performed timely and propose improvements.
  • Assist Finance with semi-annual audits and cross-train in warehouse tasks.

Job description

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels throughout the organization. Conduct and verify on-going cycle counts daily to meet this goal in accordance with company procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cycle count activity in all functional areas, raw materials and finished goods areas.Audit counts as needed.
  • Schedule time with the warehouse supervisor each day to review variances.
  • Reconcile each count, performing root cause analysis and trending. Track errors and report information to the parties responsible.
  • Maintain rotation of inventory to ensure FIFO picking of lot number sequences.
  • Report all cycle count data to management for review and publication. Determine accuracy percentages based on lines counted, units counted, and variance cost.
  • Interface with the Management of each functional area as needed.
  • Review ABC classifications annually or at Management’s discretion based on component criticality.
  • Maintain all files, spreadsheets and systems pertaining to cycle counts and physical inventory.
  • Troubleshoot areas where regular counts cannot be made in a timely manner. Make recommendations to improve the management of inventory.
  • Cooperate with Finance in the performance of semi-annual audits.
  • Cross train in Warehouse functions. Assist in regular Warehouse operations between cycle count duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Warehouse and prior experience in manufacturing facility helpful, but not required
  • Good housekeeping and record skills
  • Prior experience in standard inventory controls and practices
  • General mathematical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in control of documents and material tracking
  • Familiarity with software based cycle count and physical inventory programs.
  • Ability to drive a forklift (must have a valid California’s Drivers License).

Education: High School Education

Physical requirements/Work Environment

This position works in office, laboratory, and manufacturing environments. It requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking. He or she needs to be able to recognize and differentiate color. He or she must also be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Daily use of computer and other computing and digital devices is required. He or she may stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings, walking in the facilities, performing audits and laboratory testing. The ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver license is required.
