Job summary

HSBC Bank Malaysia invites undergrad and postgraduate students to join a full-time internship program for 3–6 months starting November. You’ll collaborate with Operations and HR, learn data analytics, and contribute to improving onboarding and engagement through data-driven insights.

Applicants should be pursuing Business Analytics, Finance, Accounting, IT, Business Administration, or Banking, with graduation planned around 2027.

Qualifications

  • Available to work full time internship for 3-6 months from November onwards.
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate programme in Business Analytics / Finance / Accounting / IT / Business Administration / Banking (or related).
  • In your final or penultimate year of studies, expected to graduate in 2027.
  • Obtained, or expected to achieve, a GPA of at least 4.0 / 5.0 or 3.2 / 4.0 or 2nd class upper (or equivalent).
  • Right to work in Malaysia without requirement for sponsorship.
  • Working Hour: Between 9AM - 6PM / 10AM - 7PM / 11AM - 8PM

  • Ability to learn quickly, transfer knowledge appropriately, understand and interpret numeric data.
  • Evidence of good analytical, statistical and data mining skills to study trends and make projections.
  • Acquire a broad understanding on trade settlement lifecycle processes of various markets
  • Capability to work with AI solutions and other digital tools
  • Analyse data to identify development opportunities
  • Work as part of a diverse team to analyse data and current approaches to identify creative solutions and improved ways to engage users
