Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a competent junior accountant in Kuala Lumpur to support accounts receivable and payable, stock reporting, and full-set accounting tasks. You will work with a small team to ensure timely invoicing, reconciliations, and accurate financial records.

The role requires 1–3 years of experience or recent graduates with strong academic foundations in accounting or related fields. Proficiency in Excel and Word is essential for day-to-day tasks and reporting.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience is preferred, fresh graduates welcome.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Solid understanding of financial principles and data sensitivity.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, able to work independently.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Accounts receivable: issue invoices and receipts for consignments.
• Accounts payable: enter invoices, perform matching, prepare payments.
• Prepare stock take reports for counters and shops.
• Prepare full set of accounts and reconciliation schedules.
• Assist with admin or ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Responsibility

• 1. Account receivables: Perform ticketing, generate consignment sales invoices and issue official receipt.
• 2. Account payables: Key in AP invoices, perform matching and prepare payment voucher.
• 3. Prepare stock take report of consignment counters and retail outlets.
• 4. Prepare full set account and reconciliation schedules, including accrual, banks, inter-company, AR/ AP, fixed assets and prepayments.
• 5. Perform admin or ad-hoc duties as assigned.
