Job summary

Jambu Jambu Asia in Malaysia is seeking an internship in business development and sponsorships. You will identify and contact potential clients and sponsors, tailor pitches, and help manage sponsor relationships for events from underground sets to headline shows with international DJs.

You’ll work directly with the founders on real sales conversations, track outreach, and build a pipeline of sponsors. This role offers practical experience and potential to grow into a part-time or full-time

Qualifications

• Current student or recent graduate seeking business development or sponsorship experience.
• Excellent communication and research skills.
• Ability to work with founders and agencies to coordinate sponsorships.

Responsibilities

• Identify and reach out to potential clients and sponsors with tailored pitches.
• Track sponsors' calendars and proactively pitch events when timing is right.
• Build and maintain relationships with agencies representing international DJs and touring artists.
• Sit in on sales conversations and negotiations and help build a sponsor pipeline.
• Keep outreach and deal status organized to avoid dropping any lead.

Bring in the clients and sponsors that fund Jambu's events - from underground sets to headline shows with international DJs. You'll work directly with the founders on real sales and relationship-building. You'll also walk away with a letter of completion, and the potential to convert into a part-time or full-time role based on performance.

• Identify and reach out to potential clients and sponsors, with pitches tailored to their needs and budget
• Track sponsors' marketing calendars and proactively pitch Jambu events when the timing's right
• Build and maintain relationships with agencies and reps representing international DJs and touring artists - keeping them warm and up to date on upcoming Jambu events
• Sit in on sales conversations and negotiations, and help build a pipeline of repeat sponsors
• Keep outreach and deal status organised so nothing falls through the cracks
