Job summary

QDOS in Penang, Batu Kawan invites students pursuing bachelor’s degrees in Material, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering for a hands-on internship. You will learn process development, SPC basics and problem-solving while supporting engineers on yield improvement and cost reduction.

Ideal candidates are proactive, fast learners with GPA 3.0+, basic engineering software skills and own transport. This role provides exposure to production environments and real-world quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in Material Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• Min GPA 3.0.
• Proactive, keen to learn and grow, a fast learner.
• Basic knowledge of engineering software.
• Possess own transport.

Responsibilities

• Learn to develop, characterize and optimize processes for production.
• Learn and assist Engineer for yield improvement, cost and cycle time reduction.
• Learn and participate to resolve all technical and quality issues.
• Deploy statistical techniques for process yield improvement and SPC charts.
• Assist Engineer to develop new processes, improving and simplifying existing processes.
• Assist to perform equipment capability studies and process evaluation.
• Learn to participate in disposition of discrepant materials.
• Any other duties assigned by superior from time to time.
