Job summary

Entegris Malaysia invites an Industrial Engineering Intern to support the GMC Area Study Project, assisting in operational analysis and continuous improvement. This role provides hands-on exposure to industrial engineering practices, manufacturing processes, and data‑driven decision making to boost productivity.

You will work with engineers and cross-functional teams, perform cycle time studies, collect data, and prepare reports and presentations of study results.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Able to commit to an internship period of at least 24 weeks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum CGPA of 3.00

Responsibilities

• Conduct cycle time studies and evaluate current operational processes.
• Collect, organize, and analyze production and workflow data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support routing analysis and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Assist in productivity improvement projects within the GMC area.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams to gather information and validate findings.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation of study results and recommendations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support implementation activities as required.
