Qualifications

• Portfolio is a MUST for application
• Strong foundation in layout, typography, visual hierarchy and ad conversion fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with standard design platforms (Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Canva, Affinity)
• Demonstrated ability to use AI design tools to enhance creativity and speed
• Strong interest in sports with storytelling ability
• Knowledge of sports/activewear brands is a plus
• Video editing/motion graphics skills are a bonus for short-form content

Responsibilities

• Design digital ad graphics (carousels, banners, story layouts) for Meta, TikTok and other channels
• Incorporate AI design tools into workflow to speed concepts and asset development
• Maintain aesthetic consistency across digital touchpoints for athletic branding
• Collaborate with marketing to brainstorm and iterate on visual ideas based on ad performance
• Prepare digital and print-ready assets or apparel concepts as needed

About the Role: Purpose Performance Wear is looking for an ambitious, creative Visual Design & Video Editor Intern with a sharp eye for creative advertising and design layouts. In this role, you will learn the craft of visual storytelling while getting yourself upskilled in visual identities of high-performance sportswear apparel space across multiple marketing channels. You will work directly while working on ad creatives, digital assets, and editing branded content while leveraging modern design techniques and AI-powered visual tools to deliver crisp, high-converting assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and design digital ad graphics (carousels, banners, story layouts) for Meta, TikTok, and other channels for marketing campaigns.
• Use and leverage AI design tools (such as Midjourney, Photoshop AI, or Firefly) into your workflow to rapidly develop design concepts and optimize visual assets.
• Develop a keen eye for taste and maintain aesthetic consistency across digital touchpoints, balancing athletic performance aesthetics with modern design trends.
• Work alongside the marketing team to brainstorm, execute, and iterate on visual ideas based on ad performance data.
• Prepare digital and print-ready assets or apparel graphic concepts as needed.

Requirements

• Having a design portfolio is a MUST: Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
• Strong foundational understanding of layout, typography, visual hierarchy, and ad conversion fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with standard design platforms (Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Canva, Affinity, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to use AI design tools to enhance creativity and speed up workflow.
• A strong interest in sports combined with the ability to tell good visual storytelling.
• Knowledge of brand sin sports, activewear, or endurance performance gear will be considered first.
• Nice-to-Haves: Video editing and motion graphics capabilities (Premiere Pro, CapCut, Davinci Resolve) for short-form social media video ads (Reels/TikTok).
• Knowledge and experience of e-commerce, D2C activewear, or performance apparel brands is an advantage.

Pay: RM600.00 - RM800.00 per month
