Job summary

Hotayi Electronic (M) Sdn Bhd (Hotayi Group) offers internship opportunities for Construction/Site Engineer/Quantity Surveyor/C&S/M&E Engineer, mainly site-based, involving real construction activities, site inspections, and progress monitoring.

You will assist in monitoring daily activities, coordinate with contractors, and prepare project documentation, gaining practical experience across civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical works. Minimum 3 months preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronic) or Construction Management.
• CGPA above 3.0
• Willing to work mainly at the construction site.
• Basic knowledge of engineering drawings preferred.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project or related software is an advantage.
• Responsible, proactive and eager to gain practical site experience.

Responsibilities

These internship positions are mainly site-based. Interns will be involved in actual construction activities, site inspections, contractor coordination, progress monitoring and project documentation.

Assist in monitoring daily construction activities and site progress.

Conduct site inspections under the guidance of the project team.

Check that construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications and schedules.

Assist in monitoring civil, structural, mechanical and electrical works.

Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers and internal departments.

Monitor workmanship quality and compliance with site safety requirements.

Assist with site measurements, quantity take-offs, cost estimates and material records.

Prepare daily or weekly progress reports, inspection records and project documentation.

Support testing, commissioning, and defect inspections activities.

Attend site meetings and follow up on outstanding action items.

Carry out other project-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronic), Construction Management or a related qualification.

CGPA above 3.0

Willing to work mainly at the construction site.

Comfortable working in an active indoor and outdoor site environment.

Able to follow construction site safety rules and procedures.

Basic knowledge of engineering or construction drawings is preferred.
