Job summary

Superb Impression Creationz Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a Commercial Executive/Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs on interior fit-out projects.

You will negotiate with suppliers, prepare BQ and cost breakdowns, liaise with clients and consultants, and handle change orders and progress claims.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in QS and about 3 years of relevant experience in carpentry/interior design or fit-out.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Carpentry, Interior Design, or Fit-Out projects.
• Experience in retail projects is a plus.
• Strong knowledge in pre-contract administration, cost estimation, tendering, and post-contract management.
• Familiarity with SMM and BQ preparation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ), detailed pricing, and cost breakdowns.
• Liaise with clients and consultants on all commercial matters related to BQ and costs.
• Provide contractual guidance and actively participate in project meetings.
• Conduct site evaluations for progress claims and verifications.
• Prepare and manage Change Orders (CO), Variation Orders (VO), and Letters of Commitment (LOC).
• Submit progress payment claims to clients and verify subcontractor/supplier claims.
• Undertake additional contractual and commercial tasks as assigned by management.
