Job summary

Modular Scale Sdn Bhd is seeking a Contract Executive (Quantity Surveyor) with experience in Interior Design and Fit-Out projects to support commercial and contractual aspects of our ventures.

You will assist in tendering, costing, and contract administration, prepare cost estimates and Bills of Quantities, and process progress claims and variation orders. You will coordinate with subcontractors and monitor project budgets.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
• Relevant QS/Contract experience, preferably in Interior Design & Fit-Out projects.
• Experience in commercial, residential, hospitality or large-scale ID & Fit-Out projects is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of ID costing, interior finishes, materials and fit-out trades.
• Familiar with tendering, BQ, progress claims, VO and contract documentation.
• Good numerical, analytical and cost management skills.
• Able to read and understand ID drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in tendering, costing and contract administration for Interior Design & Fit-Out projects.
• Prepare tender documents, cost estimates, quotations and Bills of Quantities (BQ).
• Prepare and process progress claims, variation orders (VO), payment certificates and final accounts.
• Assist in monitoring project costs and budgets throughout the project.
• Source quotations and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for various ID & Fit-Out trades.
• Assist in evaluating and comparing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Review drawings, specifications and project requirements for costing and measurement purposes.
• Conduct site measurements, valuations and attend site meetings when required.
• Coordinate closely with the Project, Design and Procurement teams on costing and contractual matters.
• Prepare and maintain contract documentation, records and reports.
• Follow up on claims, variations and other commercial matters to ensure timely submission and closure.
