Phabritek Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced supply chain planner to own the 3-6 month Master Production Schedule (MPS) across front-end, back-end assembly, testing, and outsourcing. You will match forecasts with capacity, identify bottlenecks, and ensure smooth material flows from raw to finished goods.
The role requires 5+ years in EMS planning, strong ERP/MRP skills (SAP PP/MM), and excellent data analysis with clear customer-facing communication in English.
Own the rolling 3-6 month Master Production Schedule (MPS), covering infront-end, back-end assembly and test (including outsourced), and final finished-goods assembly across the full flow.
Match sales forecasts, customer orders, and capacity status (equipment, labor, process windows) to identify supply gaps, bottleneck operations, and load imbalances; output executable input and output plans.
Allocate capacity resources rationally across engineering lots, New Product Introduction (NPI), and mixed high-volume production, balancing delivery urgency with manufacturing efficiency.
Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) levels and flow efficiency at key nodes.
Develop stocking strategies for long lead-time materials, critical consumables, and outsourced capacity, balancing inventory turnover targets against supply continuity.
Establish early-warning mechanisms for slow-moving and aged WIP.
Serve as the operations-side interface in the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process; provide Available-to-Promise (ATP)recommendations and alternatives based on capacity and material status.
When major supply disruptions occur (equipment failures, material shortages, quality events), rapidly lead recovery planning, assess impact on customer orders, and partner with customer service/sales to manage customer expectations.
Lead weekly supply meetings; deliver clear "demand vs. supply" comparative analysis and drive manufacturing, engineering, and procurement teams to execute action plans.
Serve as the primary planning counterpart to customerson delivery matters - conduct regular (monthly and as-needed) delivery progress reviews covering committed vs. actual performance, shipment milestones, and any deviations with root-cause explanations and recovery timelines.
Capture customer feedback, forecast updates, and priority changes from these engagements and feed them back into the MPS and S&OP cycle, ensuring customer expectations and internal planning assumptions stay aligned.
Coordinate with customer service/sales to prepare review materials, align on messaging, and follow up on action items until closure.
Maintain accuracy of planning parameters (lead times, lot-sizing rules, safety stock) in ERP/MRP systems, ensuring system logic reflects physical reality.
Build planning visualization reports using data analysis tools (advanced Excel, SQL, BI dashboards) to proactively identify trend issues rather than react passively.
Participate in planning digitalization projects; drive automation and intelligence upgrades of scheduling logic to reduce reliance on manual Excel work.
1. Bachelor's degree or above; Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or STEM background preferred.
2. 5+ yearsof planning experience (PMC, production planning, supply chain planning) in Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS). End-to-end planning experience strongly preferred.
3. Proficiency in ERP system logic (SAP PP/MM module experience preferred); hands‑on capability in MRP runs and parameter tuning.
4. Strong data analysis skills; able to extract key conflicts from large volumes of WIP and order data.
5. Customer-facing communication experience— comfortable presenting delivery status, risks, and recovery plans directly to external customers; English proficiency required for written and verbal customer reviews.
1. End-to-End Mindset:Not content with siloed responsibilities; willing and able to understand the linkages between front-end and back-end process constraints and commercial logic.
2. Resilience & Decisiveness:Under dual pressure of demand volatility and capacity bottlenecks, able to make logically consistent priority judgments with limited information.
3. Communication Penetration:Able to translate planning language into actionable instructions that manufacturing, engineering, and sales each understand, driving cross-functional consensus into execution.
