Job summary

DHFAVALVE.SDN.BHD is seeking a skilled local Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer to join our Sarawak engineering team. The role covers the entire lifecycle of instrumentation systems, from instrument selection and technical evaluation to procurement support, site installation, and construction supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering or related discipline.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is highly preferred; CIDB green card and Sarawak local status are major advantages.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, perform sizing calculations (valves, flowmeters, etc.), and select appropriate instruments.
• Prepare Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), Material Requisition (MR) documents, and review vendor data sheets to support purchasing activities.
• Supervise on-site instrumentation works, including cable laying, junction box installation, instrument mounting, and impulse piping construction.
• Oversee and execute loop testing, calibration, Pre-Commissioning, and Commissioning activities in compliance with safety standards.
• Coordinate with local subcontractors and international vendors to ensure timely delivery and adherence to engineering standards.
• Ensure all engineering and construction activities strictly comply with Malaysian regulations (DOSH, CIDB) and international codes (IEC, ISA, API).

The successful candidate will manage the entire lifecycle of instrumentation systems, spanning from instrument selection and technical evaluation to procurement support, site installation, and construction supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Review project specifications, perform sizing calculations (valves, flowmeters, etc.), and select appropriate instruments.

2) Technical Procurement & Bidding:

Prepare Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), Material Requisition (MR) documents, and review vendor data sheets to support purchasing activities.

Supervise on-site instrumentation works, including cable laying, junction box installation, instrument mounting, and impulse piping construction.

Oversee and execute loop testing, calibration, Pre-Commissioning, and Commissioning activities in compliance with safety standards.

6) Local Compliance:

Requirements & QualificationsEducation:

Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or a related discipline.

Skills:

Proficient in preparing instrument indexes, data sheets, hook-up drawings, and wiring diagrams. Strong knowledge of major instrument brands and local vendor markets.

Language:

Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken fluently).

Certifications:

Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is highly preferred. Valid CIDB green card and Sarawak local status are major advantages.
