Seating Spectrum Sdn Bhd is seeking personnel to install and assemble cinema, theatre, and public seating systems at various project sites. You will work with brackets, frames and panels, using hand and power tools to complete installations safely and to specification.

Travel to local and overseas project sites is required, with responsibilities covering site prep, coordination with contractors, and ensuring quality and timely completion of installation tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in installation, construction, carpentry, furniture assembly, upholstery, or related work is an advantage.
• Able to use basic hand tools and power tools.
• Willing to travel locally and overseas for project assignments.
• Good attendance, discipline, and safety awareness.

Job Functions

• Carry out installation and assembly of cinema, theatre, lecture hall, auditorium, and other public seating systems at project sites.
• Install seats, brackets, frames, panels, and related components according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment safely and correctly.
• Ensure all installations are properly aligned, secured, and completed according to project requirements.

2. Site Work & Project Support

• Travel to local and overseas project sites when required.
• Perform installation works according to the project schedule and instructions from the supervisor.
• Assist with site preparation, unloading, arranging, and handling of seating components and materials.
• Work together with contractors, site personnel, and other project teams to ensure smooth installation progress.

3. Quality Control

• Check completed installation to ensure proper alignment, positioning, stability, and finishing.
• Identify and report damaged, defective, or missing components to the supervisor.
• Rectify installation issues and defects as instructed.
• Ensure the completed installation meets company quality standards and project specifications.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Follow all company, site, and occupational safety requirements.
• Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Operate tools, machinery, ladders, and other equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the installation process.

5. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform basic inspection, adjustment, repair, and troubleshooting of installed seating.
• Assist in replacement or rectification works during project completion and after-sales service.
• Report technical or installation issues that require further attention.

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Update the supervisor on daily installation progress and site issues.
• Assist with installation checklists, inspection records, photographs, and other project documentation.
• Ensure installation works are completed according to the assigned timeline.

7. Other Duties

• Assist other departments or project teams when required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Installation Supervisor, Project Manager, or Management.
• Be willing to travel and work at different project locations, including overseas sites, when required.

Requirements

• Experience in installation, construction, carpentry, furniture assembly, upholstery, or related work is an advantage.

• Physically fit and able to perform site work.
• Able to work in a team and follow instructions.
