Job summary

Greatech Group in Malaysia is seeking an Assembly & Installation Engineer to oversee and assist in the on-site and in-house assembly and installation of our products. You will coordinate with engineering, purchasing and production to ensure timely project progress.

You will lead a team of technicians, ensure safety and ISO compliance, report updates daily or weekly, and plan installations in detail. A Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years in automation is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years in automation industry.
• Hands-on skills in mechanical or electrical assembly; good written & spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee or assist in coordinating in-house/on-site assembly and installation of products.
• Coordinate with engineering, purchasing and production for timely project alignment.
• Be the interface to customer counterparts for assembly and site installation.
• Participate and cooperate with the team to complete tasks efficiently.
• Check work after each operation to ensure drawing conformance, no defects, and clean work area.
• Ensure project milestones (SAT, ESSO, delivery, FAT) are met.
• Manage and develop technicians' skills to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Follow ISO requirements and safety practices, SOPs and guidelines.
• Plan installation in detail and execute tasks accordingly.
• Report progress to superiors on daily/weekly basis.
• Carry out small automation project installation independently when needed.
• Lead a team of technicians for onsite installation works.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Oversee or assist superior in coordinating the in-house/on-site assembly & installation of company products.

2. Communicate and solve problems with counterparts from other departments to ensure timely coordination of engineering, purchasing and production.

3. Be an interface point to customer counterparts for assembly and site installation.

4. Participate and cooperate within the team to complete overall task efficiently.

5. Check work after completion of each operation in job and/or completed job to ensure assembly is complete per drawing, that there are no defects and that the work area is clean.

6. Ensure or assist superior in ensuring that defined project milestones such as SAT, ESSO, delivery, FAT, etc. are met.

7. Manage and develop the skills of technicians to ensure customer satisfaction.

8. Other duties and assignments as instructed by superiors from time to time.

9. To comply to all requirements of ISO (inclusive of all standards approved by the Management) and to adhere to general safety practices, standard operating procedure, work instructions, policies and guidelines provided by the company.

10. Able to plan installation in detail and execute the tasks.

11. Able to report and update the superior on daily/weekly basis.

12.Able to carry out small automation project installation individually. (small standalone project)

13. Able to lead a team of technicians for onsite installation works.

Job Requirements:

1. Minimum Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

2.More than 3 years' working experience in automation industry.

3.Hands-on skill in mechanical or electrical assembly, good written & spoken English.
