Job summary

JUBM GROUP is seeking an Inspector of Work (MEP) to join the team and base at the site for a 100,000m2 warehouse project in Malaysia. You will work closely with the Head of M&E to verify drawings, specifications and method statements while ensuring quality and schedule adherence.

The role requires identifying defects, monitoring rectifications, maintaining daily inspection records, and escalating technical issues for clarification. Strong communication and independence are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in MEP engineering is required.
• Registered with Board of Engineers (BEM) as Inspector of Works.
• Ten years site experience.
• Familiar with warehouse construction.
• Excellent communication and coordination with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Timely MEP site inspection against approved drawings, specifications, material approvals and method statements.
• Identify defective workmanship and monitor rectification works.
• Maintain records for daily inspection, non-conformance and prepare weekly and monthly reporting timely.
• Identify drawing discrepancies between construction drawings and site conditions.
• Report technical issues for clarification.
• Monitor daily MEP installation progress against the approved construction programme, identify delays that may affect milestones.

Job description

MEP site inspection for 100,000m2 warehouse and to be based at site.

The Inspector of Work (MEP) will work closely with the Head of M&E to:

Timely MEP site inspection against approved construction drawings, specifications, material approvals and method statements.

Identify defective workmanship and monitor rectification works.

Maintain records for daily inspection, non-conformance and prepare for weekly and monthly reporting timely.

Identify drawing discrepancies between construction drawings and site conditions.

Monitor daily MEP installation progress against the approved construction programme, identify delays that may affect subsequent project milestones.

Job Requirements & Person Specification

Qualifications:

Diploma or Degree in MEP engineering.

Registered with Board of Engineers (BEM) as Inspector of Works

Experience:

Ten (10) years site experience.

Skills & Attributes:

Familiar with warehouse construction.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Excellent communication, coordination and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.

Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
