Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior Electrical Site Supervisor to oversee on-site electrical works, inspections, and coordination with contractors and the Resident Engineer in Ipoh, Perak. The role requires a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience.

The incumbent will monitor progress, ensure compliance with standards, and maintain detailed project records while upholding safety requirements on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical construction, site supervision, inspection, or project coordination.
• Good knowledge of electrical installation, testing, inspection, and construction practices.
• Good understanding of project specifications, approved drawings, quality requirements, and relevant electrical standards.
• Strong site supervision, coordination, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proactive, responsible, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
• Willing to be based in and work at Ipoh, Perak.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor contractors' work to ensure compliance with approved construction methods, quality standards, specifications, and project requirements
• Monitor work progress, workmanship, and site activities to ensure works are completed within the required schedule and to the expected quality standards
• Carry out quality control inspections, testing, and final inspections of completed electrical works
• Identify, document, and report any non-conformance, defects, or quality issues to the Resident Engineer and follow up with contractors to ensure timely and satisfactory corrective actions
• Work closely with the Resident Engineer and project team by carrying out instructions and providing regular updates on work progress, site issues, quality matters, and potential delays
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and relevant stakeholders to facilitate the smooth execution and timely completion of electrical works
• Verify completed works, measurements, testing results, and relevant supporting documentation as required
• Ensure electrical installation and site activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, safety requirements, and relevant electrical standards
• Monitor contractors' adherence to site safety requirements and report any unsafe practices or conditions to the Resident Engineer
• Maintain proper records of site inspections, work progress, testing and commissioning, non-conformance reports, rectification works, and other relevant project documentation
