Job summary

TKR Engineering Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a qualified supervisor to oversee inspection of OCTG, drill pipes, and related accessories. You will supervise and perform inspections in compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

You must hold Level II NDT certification and have 5+ years in OCTG or similar services, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role, including experience with proprietary connections or DS-1 drilling stem inspection.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in OCTG inspection or similar NDT services.
• At least 1 year supervisory experience in OCTG & related accessories.
• Level II NDT certification under ASNT, PCN, CSWIP, or equivalent in at least three of EMI/UT/MT/other methods.

Job description

To supervise and perform inspection activities for OCTG, drill pipes, and associated accessories, ensuring all inspection activities are conducted in accordance with applicable industry standards, client requirements, and company procedures.

Qualification & Experience

Minimum Five (5) years of experience in similar NDT services and/or OCTG inspection, including API and premium thread inspection.

Minimum One (1) additional year of supervisory experience related to the inspection of OCTG, drill pipes, and associated accessories such as pup joints and crossovers.

Possess Level II certification under ASNT, PCN, CSWIP, or equivalent in at least three (3) of the following four (4) NDT methods:

Electromagnetic Inspection (EMI)

Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)

Possess a letter or certificate of attendance for field inspection of OCTG proprietary connections, such as JFE, VAM, Hunting, or equivalent OR possess a record or certificate of attendance for Standard DS-1 Drill Stem Inspection, based on an internal written Competency Standard or external training conducted by Bureau Veritas (BV).
