Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a mechanical design professional for hands-on CAD modeling and development. The role involves creating 2D/3D models, collaborating with engineers, and supporting prototyping and testing activities to ensure robust designs.

The ideal candidate has a degree or diploma in a related field and 1–2 years of mechanical design experience, with strong problem-solving and team skills. This position offers growth opportunities in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in mechanical design or product development.
• Excellent problem-solving, high attention to detail, and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design Development: Create 2D/3D models and detailed drawings using CAD software (e.g., Ansys Spaceclaim / Discovery, Alibre Design, ZWCad, Affinity Design or similar 2/3D design suites.).
• Collaborate with Engineers: work closely with Designers, Engineers, Sales, Marketing and Technical person and fabricators, people related to understand and envision and make the final output.
• Prototyping and Testing: Assist in creating and testing prototypes to evaluate design functionality, making adjustments as necessary.
• Documentation: Produce detailed documentation for designs, including material specifications, assembly instructions, and operational guides.
• Problem-Solving: Analyze mechanical failures or inefficiencies and develop solutions to improve design.
• Compliance: Ensure that all designs meet manufacturing standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
• Cost Estimation: Assist in estimating material costs and production times based on the design specifications.
• Material Selection: Recommend appropriate materials based on the design requirements and budget constraints.
