Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical/Mechatronics engineer to join our product development team in Shah Alam, Malaysia. You will design, prototype and test new technologies, ensuring feasibility and reliability while collaborating with Production, Quality and Procurement to align on specifications.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics, with at least 2 years of design experience and some client-site exposure; fresh graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related.
• Minimum 2 years of design experience; customer site visits a plus.
• Fresh graduates with internship or project experience encouraged.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research, design and development of new technologies or product improvements.
• Develop and test prototype designs, ensuring feasibility, functionality and reliability.
• Work with internal teams and clients to ensure project implementation and design alignment.
• Perform engineering analysis, simulations and validation testing to support product development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product development cycle.
• Identify and evaluate materials, components, and technologies to improve product performance and cost efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test reports.
• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for product issues.
