Job summary

Newman Idesign & Renovation Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer to join our dynamic team in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur. This full-time role involves conceptualising, designing and executing interior design projects and collaborating with clients, architects and contractors to bring visions to life.

You'll prepare detailed drawings, 3D renderings and presentations, conduct site measurements, select materials, and manage projects within budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from an accredited program.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; candidates with relevant working experience are encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent industry-standard tools.
• Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, spatial planning and architectural concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative interior design concepts and layouts tailored to client specifications and project requirements.
• Prepare detailed design drawings, 3D renderings and visual presentations for client approval and planning.
• Conduct site assessments and measurements to understand spatial constraints and opportunities.
• Select materials, finishes, furniture and decor elements that align with themes and budgets.
• Collaborate with clients to understand needs, preferences and project objectives.
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications.
• Manage project timelines, budgets and resources to ensure successful delivery.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks during implementation to ensure standards.
