Job summary

DKSH Malaysia seeks an Innovation Center Manager and Technical Service Manager to lead the Performance Materials innovation function within Food and Beverage Ingredients. Drive product development, technical service excellence, and innovation strategy aligned with business goals.

You will manage the Innovation Center, guide formulation across lab-to-pilot scales, and coach the sales team with strong data and presentation skills. English fluency required; join a dynamic Asia-focused organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or related field.
Minimum 5–8 years in a similar role within food ingredients or related industry.
Minimum 2–3 years in a managerial capacity leading technical teams.
Strong B2B commercial acumen with a technical mindset.
Working knowledge of the food industry, products, and market dynamics.
Knowledge of ingredients, additives, and flavours across applications.
Familiarity with food processing techniques and application development.
Experience in scientific, chemical, and laboratory methods relevant to food formulation/testing.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills; problem solving.
Ability to analyze data, conduct market research, and produce testing reports/presentations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

Manage the operating Innovation Center (InnoC) budget and costs.
Monitor product formulation guidelines and drive improvements to reduce costs and enhance performance.
Oversee product formulation from lab to pilot scale for reliable technical outcomes.
Lead development projects ensuring on-time delivery and efficient resource planning.
Identify product improvement opportunities from trends, ingredients, and new processes.
Run technical training programs for the sales team to grow capabilities.
Ensure lab equipment maintenance and safety compliance for safety/regulatory standards.
Co-visit key customers to provide expert technical advice and tailored solutions.
Manage library of ingredients and flavour samples for external/internal studies.
Oversee technical service team performance and alignment with business goals.
Lead learning and development in Research and Analysis to achieve objectives.
