Job summary

Nolato Malaysia is seeking a Project Engineer to manage injection molding projects from concept through production, coordinating with design, tooling, quality and production teams.

You will evaluate mold designs with toolmakers and suppliers, support mold trials, develop schedules and budgets, and ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in injection moulding project engineering.
• Strong mould design, plastic materials and process knowledge.
• Experience with CAD software and project management tools.
• Knowledge of IQ/OQ/PQ and regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate injection molding projects from concept through production.
• Liaise with design, tooling, quality and production teams to ensure success.
• Evaluate and approve mold designs with toolmakers and suppliers.
• Provide technical support during mold trials and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and status reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Source and manage tooling suppliers and vendors.
• Drive continuous improvement in molding processes and tooling performance.
• Participate in DFMEA and PFMEA for new or modified products.
• Support validation and documentation for tool launches (IQ/OQ/PQ).
