Waterco (Far East) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced mould engineer to oversee design reviews, drive DFM compliance, and manage tooling collaborations with external vendors. The role focuses on optimization and NPI of plastic injection moulded parts, with emphasis on stable process parameters and defect prevention.

The ideal candidate will have a 5–7 year background in moulding, strong collaboration skills, and a track record of continuous improvement in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in polymer or mechanical engineering is required.
• 5–7 years working experience in moulding/manufacturing.
• Good communication, teamwork, and positive attitude are essential.

Responsabilités

• Oversee mould design reviews and ensure DFM compliance.
• Manage mould modifications and repairs with Production to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with external toolmakers and vendors for fabrication, acceptance, and timely delivery of tooling.
• Lead process optimization and NPI for plastic injection moulded parts.
• Lead mould trials and establish optimal injection parameters.
• Use Moldflow to predict and prevent defects.
• Define material/process specs for resins and masterbatches.
• Drive continuous improvement on cost, materials and process changes.
