Job summary

Great Eastern seeks a Senior Infrastructure Strategy Specialist to shape long-term IT infrastructure strategy across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will lead multi-year roadmaps, guide cloud transformation, and partner with IT, cybersecurity, finance, and business leaders to ensure cost-effective, compliant initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; minimum 10 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, architecture, or technology strategy roles.
• Proven experience leading strategic infrastructure transformation or modernization initiatives in complex, enterprise-scale environments.
• Deep knowledge of cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), data center infrastructure, enterprise networking, and hybrid environments; analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with sustainability/green IT initiatives or infrastructure cost optimization strategies.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate complex strategies to senior stakeholders.
• Familiarity with IT frameworks such as TOGAF, COBIT, ITIL, or equivalent.
• High integrity, accountability, teamwork; proactive improvement and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic assessments of existing IT infrastructure and identify optimization opportunities across data centers, networks, servers, storage, and cloud platforms.
• Drive multi-year infrastructure roadmaps aligned with enterprise goals, best practices, and emerging technologies; provide guidance on cloud transformation and scalable hybrid infrastructure.
• Partner with IT, cybersecurity, finance, and business leaders to ensure initiatives are cost-effective and aligned with business priorities.
• Evaluate and recommend vendor platforms; oversee due diligence, RFPs, and contract negotiations; monitor regulatory developments impacting infrastructure strategy.
• Build robust business cases including ROI, TCO, and risk analyses to support strategic investments.
• Take accountability for business and regulatory compliance risks and mitigate as needed.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends in regulatory compliance, threats, and technologies to understand risk and strengthen safeguards.
