Job summary

Pertama Makmur Sdn Bhd in Kelantan seeks a Construction Manager to spearhead infra and river works from planning to project closeout. You will oversee highway infrastructure projects, coordinate with the project team, and ensure adherence to schedule, budget and quality standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 12 years’ experience in infrastructure projects such as river works or flood mitigation, and demonstrates strong communication,

Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum 12 years of construction experience of infrastructure works (river project / flood mitigation project).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good interpersonal and supervisory skills.
Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projects from start to finish.
Oversee construction for highway and other infrastructure like bridges and roads.
Coordinate with project team to ensure smooth progress onsite.
Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve technical issues.
Conduct regular meetings with team and sub-contractors to review progress.
Ensure project meets requirements and deadlines.
Liaise with regulatory authorities pertaining to project management to ensure smooth implementation and quality of projects.
Ensure compliance with ISO requirements.
Undertake other duties and responsibilities to meet project objectives.
Report to Project Director / Project Manager.
