About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Information Technology Manager to join SECUHOST IT SOLUTIONS AND MEDIA SERVICES SDN. BHD. in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing the organisation's technology infrastructure, systems, and digital operations. As IT Manager, you will be responsible for leading our technology initiatives, managing IT teams, and ensuring that our systems support the company's strategic objectives. This role is instrumental in maintaining operational efficiency, security, and innovation across the organisation.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise the IT department, including recruitment, training, performance management and professional development of team members
• Oversee the planning, implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure, systems and networks to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Develop and manage IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and value for money
• Establish and enforce IT policies, security protocols and compliance standards across the organisation
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate procurement of hardware, software and IT services
• Provide strategic guidance on technology adoption and digital transformation initiatives aligned with business objectives
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions to minimise downtime
• Ensure data security, backup systems and disaster recovery procedures are in place and regularly tested
• Liaise with business stakeholders to understand technology requirements and deliver solutions that support operational needs
• Stay informed of emerging technologies and industry best practices to maintain competitive advantage

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in IT management or a senior IT technical role within a dynamic organisation
• Proven experience in managing IT teams, including hiring, training and performance management
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, servers, cloud systems and cybersecurity practices
• Demonstrated experience in IT budgeting and cost management
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
• Knowledge of IT governance, compliance and regulatory requirements relevant to the industry
• Professional certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA Security+, or similar credentials are advantageous
• Experience in leading digital transformation or technology modernisation projects is preferred
