Safran Landing Systems in Malaysia seeks an experienced engineer to pilot industrialization activities for new product development, qualification, and production changes across processes and equipment. You will coordinate project phases with process engineers, lead PFMEA, and ensure documentation for aerospace production.
The role includes managing prototypes, developing data models, and communicating results with clear data visualizations, while upholding safety and quality standards.
Pilot all industrialization activities for new product development, qualification, new product introduction, new processes or equipments, process changes, and configuration changes
Schedule and manage the different phases of the industrialization project in accordance with the project objectives and in relationship with the process Engineers
Setup and follow project progress indicators
Coordinate tasks and actors of the industrialization process
Handle requirements from our internal customers (eg. Program Chief Engineers) through rituals to setup
Organize milestone reviews and ensure their validation
Lead and perform Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) for all processes to define key process characteristics
Link the results of the PFMEA to the control plan in the DVI-PPAP files
Follow the production and control of prototype, development, qualification, and first article parts/assemblies
Assist in developing models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze process data and capacity models
Utilize and integrate big data analysis to demonstrate process capability and suggest improvements
Communicate manufacturing results and performance through clear data visualization tools
Lead configuration management activities and coordinate configuration changes into production
Interface with Design Engineering for co-engineering activities to create a strong link between process performance and product performance
Create or modify the routing in SAP
Submit and track the requests for design change
Submit ideas to support continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and cost
Provide complete and accurate documentation required for aerospace equipment production
Follow all procedures administered by safety, quality, process engineering, and facilities engineering
Adhere and actively participate in occupational Safety, Health and Environmental policies, Energy policies procedures and activities such as I-See I-Act, GPI, low carbon initiative etc.
Adhere and comply with Business Ethics, Anti-Corruption, Flight Safety Management System, and others relevant policies, procedures and activities.
Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
Degree or Masters in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent applicable experience required. Related technical field preferred
Minimum 3 years working experience in related technical field
Strong knowledge in material science, and aeronautical engineering
Able to read technical material and technical drawing, develop analysis and make recommendations
“Hands on” approach to problem solving and troubleshooting
Good computer skills especially with Microsoft Office and SAP. Experience with Data Mining, Statistical Analysis, Minitab, Power BI…etc
