Job summary

Infineon Technologies Malaysia offers an Industrial Trainee position in Unit Process Engineering, within Manufacturing and Operations. You will work in a cleanroom environment, assisting Wet Process engineers with daily production tasks and data collection.

You will help maintain SOPs, support experiments and improvements, and prepare charts and trend reports using Excel. Ideal for engineering students seeking hands-on experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role
  • Assist Wet Process engineers in daily production/process support
  • Support process monitoring activities: collecting data, checking critical parameters (time, temperature, concentration, flow), and recording results.
  • Help maintain process documentation: work instructions, checklists, logs, and basic reports.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting support by identifying abnormal trends and escalating issues to engineers/supervisors.
  • Support experiments and improvement activities (DOE support, trials, process optimization, yield improvement).
  • Prepare daily/weekly summaries (charts, trend reports) using Excel/Google Sheets or similar tools.
Your profile
Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed
  • Currently pursuing Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
  • CGPA must be at least 3.00 and above.
  • Skills Basic understanding of chemical/process fundamentals (concentration, pH, temperature effects, mixing, safety).
  • Able to use Excel (data entry, charts; pivot tables a plus).
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.
  • Willingness to work in a cleanroom/production environment Safety / Physical Requirements Comfortable working around chemicals while wearing required PPE (gloves, face shield, apron, respirator if required).
  • Able to stand/walk for extended periods and work near wet benches/tools.
  • Soft Skills Responsible, punctual, and able to communicate clearly with technicians and engineers.
  • Able to learn quickly and take feedback.
