Job summary

Infineon Technologies in Kulim, Malaysia, seeks a Senior Engineer Maintenance to drive independent maintenance in a high-tech cleanroom. You will manage non-conforming outputs, prioritize tasks, and communicate with manufacturing, suppliers and process engineers to ensure optimal equipment performance.

You will guide junior engineers, contribute to continuous improvement, troubleshoot equipment failures and support ramp-ups from start-up to production release, aiming for top KPIs in speed, cost

• Document, present and train technicians effectively.
• Perform tasks of an Entry Level Engineer as needed.
• Contribute to OEE and KPI targets for assigned equipment.
• Troubleshoot failures and implement corrective actions.
• Support ramp-up from start-up to release for production.

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• General Purpose/ Objectives: Independent delivery of a defined set of tasks / areas that increases with the mastery of the following responsibilities:
• Responsible for making timely and accurate decisions regarding non-conforming product or equipment outputs using state of-the-art semiconductor process equipment in one selected assigned area.
• Prioritise multiple activities and make effective decisions in a high stress manufacturing workplace, using sound problem solving, advanced process control & statistical process control methods.
• Interact and communicate effectively with manufacturing, equipment suppliers, and process engineering in a support role Major Tasks and Activities: (Please indicate in the right column the level of responsibility Full(F) or Partial (P))
• Increase in responsibilities with competency level and technical expertise acquired through professional experience on the job according to targeted role.
• Detail knowledge of assigned area to understand related functional areas in Frontend or Backend Production area.
• Knows supplier / customer process in assigned area and how performance affects success of the business.
• Indirect supervisory responsibilities such as team leading (project based) and training /guidance of new engineer
• Recommend solutions to moderate problems with information
• Communication skills to include documentation, presentation, team contribution, and training of technician.
• Performs all tasks and responsibilities of Entry Level Engineer.
• Knowledge of performance that directly impacts own functional area with prescribed parameters and an indirect impact on related areas On-the-job training to more junior colleagues.
• Contribution to continuous improvement programs via initiating & executing projects to improve
• Overall Equipment Efficiency, OEE in term of Speed, Cost & Quality Meet/Exceed KPIs (Avaibility, Reliability, Cost & Yield) for assigned equipment ownership
• Troubleshoot equipment failures, implement corrective action & preventive actions
• Responsible for start-up until RFP (release for production) of new or transferred used equipment to support production ramp
