Job summary

KETECH ASIA SDN. BHD. seeks a manufacturing process engineer to optimize production of ammunition components. You will focus on throughput, line balancing, and preventive maintenance to reduce scrap and improve safety and quality across high-speed lines.

The role requires a degree in industrial/mechanical engineering and 3–5 years in high-volume manufacturing, with proficiency in CAD tools and lean methods (Six Sigma, RCA, SPC). You will report to the Operations team and work on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, production engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical discipline
• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience in high-volume, high-speed stamping, deep drawing, precision machining or automated assembly environments
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD/SolidWorks)
• Familiar with core Lean manufacturing tools, Six Sigma methodologies, RCA and SPC
• High level of attention to detail and leadership abilities

Responsibilities

• Optimize production processes for component and assembly lines to maximize throughput and minimize scrap
• Perform line balancing and improve throughput by time-motion studies; eliminate bottlenecks; optimize cycle times
• Design and maintain facility layout and material flow for safe, efficient movement of components and materials
• Implement SPC to monitor critical dimensions and maintain high quality pass rates
• Lead RCA investigations on downtime, defects, and bottlenecks and implement permanent corrective actions
• Design, introduce and implement preventive maintenance for all machinery to maximize uptime
• Establish and manage maintenance schedules (daily/weekly/monthly/annual)
• Monitor tooling/die reliability and schedule pre-emptive replacements
• Monitor OEE and downtime to identify root causes and engineering solutions
• Establish SOPs for production processes on component and assembly lines
• Ensure compliance with internal/external audits and OSHA safety requirements
• Follow QMS and ABMS policies and report issues or suspicious activities
