Job summary

Entegris, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Engineering Intern in Malaysia to support the GMC Area Study Project.

You will assist in operational analysis, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency within the GMC area. You’ll conduct cycle time studies, collect and analyze production data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate findings and implement recommendations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in industrial or related engineering fields.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work with data.
• Proficient in Excel and data analysis tools; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

**Job Title:**Industrial Engineering Intern**Job Description:****The Role: Industrial Engineering Intern**As an Industrial Engineering Intern, you will support the GMC Area Study Project by assisting in operational analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. This role provides hands-on exposure to industrial engineering practices, manufacturing processes, and data-driven decision-making aimed at improving productivity and efficiency within the GMC area.**What You’ll Do*** Conduct cycle time studies and evaluate current operational processes.* Collect, organize, and analyze production and workflow data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.* Support routing analysis and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.* Assist in productivity improvement projects within the GMC area.* Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams to gather information and validate findings.* Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation of study results and recommendations.* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support implementation activities as required.**What We Seek*** Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.* Able to commit to an internship period of at least 24 weeks.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.* Good communication and interpersonal skills.* Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a manufacturing environment.* Minimum CGPA of 3.00**Outstanding Candidates Will Have*** Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles.* Experience with statistical analysis, time studies, or process mapping through coursework or projects.* Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrial engineering concepts.* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.* A proactive mindset with a passion for solving operational challenges and driving efficiency improvements.**What We Offer:**At Entegris, we invest in providing opportunities to our employees and promote from within.
