Job summary

Resmed is seeking an Engineering Intern to assist the manufacturing engineering team with technical documentation, data collection, and prototype support in a real manufacturing environment.

You will engage in CAD interpretation, process development, and cross-functional teamwork while learning Quality, GMP, and OHS standards. The role provides hands-on exposure to prototype builds, validation support, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job description

The Engineering Intern supports the engineering team by assisting with technical documentation, engineering studies, data collection and analysis, prototype support, and other engineering tasks under guidance from experienced engineers.

This internship is designed to provide hands‑on exposure to manufacturing engineering, product development support, process improvement, and technical problem-solving in a real manufacturing environment. The role offers an opportunity to learn about prototype builds, process development, validation support, CAD / engineering drawing interpretation, and cross‑functional collaboration within a regulated manufacturing setting.

Let's Talk About Responsibilities

• Support engineers in day-to-day engineering activities and project execution
• Assist with engineering studies, data collection, and basic data analysis to support problem solving and process improvement
• Support prototype builds, sample preparation, trial activities, and workshop tasks under supervision
• Assist in preparing, interpreting, and updating CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
• Help maintain work instructions, SOPs, study records, action logs, and other engineering documentation
• Support validation, verification, and process readiness activities by preparing data, samples, and supporting documents
• Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities by gathering facts, observations, and data
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, efficiency, cost, and manufacturing readiness
• Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers, Project Engineers, and Technicians to support project deliverables
• Learn and apply engineering principles, company standards, Quality, GMP, and OHS requirements in daily work
• Support cross-functional communication and follow-up actions as assigned
• Carry out other engineering-related tasks and assignments as directed by the Manager
