Job summary

ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors in Penang is seeking an Industrial Engineer to establish IE time standards, conduct time/motion studies, and analyze bottlenecks to boost throughput and line efficiency.

You will drive data-driven productivity plans, model staffing and equipment needs, support R&D IE data work, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet KPI targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent, preferably in Industrial/Mechanical/Manufacturing.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial engineering or semiconductor manufacturing operations.
• Strong data analysis and time/motion study skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and evaluate IE time standards periodically using time/motion studies.
• Analyze actual operational performance, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Propose and drive productivity plans to improve machine throughput, line capacity, capital utilization, labor efficiency, cycle time and product cost.
• Perform work content study and model setups to define machine or labor requirements.
• Support R&D projects on IE data preparation, gap analysis and capacity improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve company KPI targets.
