Job summary

Spindex, a leading precision engineering manufacturer, is hiring an Industrial Engineer for its Malaysia office (Synturn (M) Sdn Bhd). The role focuses on improving CNC/machining processes, conducting time studies, and driving Lean manufacturing initiatives on the shop floor.

The successful candidate will have a relevant engineering degree and 2–3 years of manufacturing experience, strong data analysis skills, and the ability to work on site in Ulu Tiram. Transport is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering.
• 2–3 years of manufacturing experience, machining preferred.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools.
• Able to work on the shopfloor; own transport and willing to work in Ulu Tiram.

Responsibilities

• Improve CNC/machining production processes.
• Conduct time studies and cycle time analysis.
• Monitor output, OEE, downtime and scrap.
• Reduce waste and production costs (manpower, machine, material).
• Improve line balancing and workflow.
• Optimize factory layout for material flow efficiency.
• Develop SOP and work instructions.
• Analyze data to identify performance gaps.
• Implement Lean activities (5S, Kaizen).
