Job summary

RC Precision Engineering Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to support the optimization and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. You will work on productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness across production lines, layouts, and workflow.

The role requires CAD drafting and ERP familiarity, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team. This position is on-site in Bayan Lepas, Penang.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in IE/Manufacturing/Process Engineering.
Minimum 2 years CAD drafting experience.
Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, and production standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project).
ERP knowledge is an added advantage.
Lean Manufacturing / Lean Six Sigma knowledge is an added advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness.
Develop and establish production standards, process flows, work methods, and operating procedures.
Conduct method studies and work measurement to establish efficient work methods and production standards.
Perform production capacity studies covering manpower, machinery, tools, equipment, and workspace requirements.
Develop and optimize equipment, workstation, material flow, and production layouts using CAD software.
Implement Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Takt Time, 7 Wastes, Standard Work Combination, and Just-In-Time (JIT).
Identify opportunities to eliminate waste, reduce production costs, improve productivity, and optimize resource utilization.
Support the implementation and improvement of the ERP system, including procedure development, report automation, and dashboard creation.
Prepare material and equipment lists, cost analyses, purchase requirements, and estimated production costs.
Develop process controls to minimize production issues, losses, and unnecessary costs.
