Pivotal Systems (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an Industrial/Process Engineer to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes, develop SOPs, and drive continuous improvement. The role emphasizes production efficiency, quality, and cost reduction across cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities include time studies, line balancing, capacity planning, layout optimization, BOMs/routings, and NPI readiness. Proficiency with Excel, ERP/MRP, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost.
Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
Conduct time studies, line balancing, capacity planning, and manpower planning to maximize production efficiency.
Design and improve production layouts, workstation ergonomics, and material flow to minimize waste and improve safety.
Develop and maintain manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOMs), process routings, and production documentation.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by establishing efficient manufacturing processes and validating production readiness.
Identify process bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies.
Monitor key manufacturing performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Supply Chain teams to resolve manufacturing and process-related issues.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Support cost reduction initiatives through process optimization, cycle time reduction, and waste elimination.
Participate in production trials, engineering change implementation (ECN/ECO), and process validation activities.
Ensure compliance with ISO procedures, quality standards, environmental regulations, and workplace safety requirements.
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Process Engineering in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and 5S methodologies.
Experience in time study, work measurement, line balancing, production planning, and capacity analysis.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, process flow development, and production optimization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems; knowledge of AutoCAD or manufacturing simulation software is an advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
Experience with ISO 9001 and continuous improvement initiatives is preferred.
Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required. Mandarin is an advantage to facilitate communication with customers, suppliers, and technical support.
