Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology is seeking an Industrial Engineer to set up lean production lines, plan Kanban and IPK systems, and optimize manufacturing flows in Penang, Malaysia. You will analyze BOMs, implement 6S standards, design kitting trolleys, and drive continuous improvement across factory operations.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in Industrial Engineering, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with Visual ERP/Excel and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in Industrial Engineering
• Experience in setting up lean line set-up, Manufacturing flow, Standardization
• Technical understanding of Equipment manufacturing process
• Strong analytical and creative thinking skills for effective decision making
• Able to communicate to working level, management level and Customers with good presentation preparation and get the message across the team
• Project management understanding and knows how to use the application software
• Excellent Visual ERP system/Excel and other MS Office applications skills

Responsibilities

• Set up production line based on customer requirement with lean line concept and standardization
• Plan Kanban, IPK, Free stock, line side components assemblies
• Analyze BOM and distinguish Free/floor stock vs Issue parts and size up production floor
• Implement Visual Aids to meet 6S WW standardization on the manufacturing floor
• Design kitting trolley based on system demand considering sub-assemblies and integration assemblies
• Apply PFMEA and 8D processes as required
• Review factory capacity with Manufacturing and Test Engineering teams
• Maintain assembly/test fixtures records with required spares and calibration plans
• Review operation standards based on customer requirements and industry standards
• Initiate tool purchases and coordinate calibration
• Drive continuous improvement to boost manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs
• Lead CIP for bottleneck tools and OEE improvement
• Improve cycle time by optimizing manufacturing layout
• Initiate Industry 4.0 projects for factory automation

Set-up the production line based on the Customer requirement with lean line concept and meeting UCT's standard factory standardization for New product introduction and internal product transfer between sites

Plan for Kanban, In-Process-Kanban (IPK), Free stock, line side components assemblies by operations or feeder

Able to analyze BOM and recognize the Free/floor stock vs. Issue parts and able to size up the production floor

Implement Visual Aids to meet 6S standard and WW standardization in the Manufacturing floor

Design Kitting trolley based on the demand of the systems taking consideration of Sub-Assemblies and Integration Assemblies

To apply Process Failure Mode and Analysis (PFMEA) and 8D process as required

Regularly review Factory capacity by working together with Manufacturing and Test Engineering group

Maintain the Assembly Fixtures, Test Fixtures and other related accessories records in database and maintain them in healthy condition with required spares and maintenance plan

Review Operation Standard based on customers requirement and Industry standard

Initiate the Tool purchases and get to the calibration department for regular calibration

Involve in continuous improvement initiatives to drive manufacturing efficiency and cost reduction

Lead the Capacity Improvement Program (CIP) for bottleneck tools and Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) improvement

Cycle time improvement by optimizing the manufacturing layout with continuous improvement mindset

Initiate and Implement world calls automations and I4.0 projects for Factory automation

Educational/Certification Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics /Manufacturing/ Industrial Engineering

Experience Requirement:
