Job summary

COMPOSITES TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH MALAYSIA SDN BHD is seeking an Industrial Engineer to lead initiatives that optimize manpower, improve productivity, and enhance production efficiency in a high-tech aerospace/composites environment.

The role focuses on developing standardized manufacturing processes, analyzing production cycles, and driving continuous improvement with Lean and Six Sigma principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects to optimize manpower, improve productivity, and enhance production efficiency.
• Develop, implement, and maintain standardized manufacturing processes.
• Analyze and optimize production cycle time and workflow.
• Conduct time studies, line balancing, and manpower analysis.
• Monitor and improve OEE, OPE, and overall production performance.
• Perform capacity planning and manufacturing analysis.
• Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean and problem-solving tools.
• Conduct Gemba Walks to identify and resolve operational issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvement initiatives.
• Support manufacturing digitalization through data analysis, reporting, and performance monitoring.

Job description

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related Engineering field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Process Improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, line balancing, and cycle time optimization.

Familiar with OEE, OPE, capacity planning, and manpower optimization.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel; Power BI knowledge is an added advantage.

Knowledge of MES, ERP, or manufacturing digitalization is an added advantage.

Lean or Six Sigma certification is an added advantage.
